Rev. Timothy McGarvey

Senior Pastor

REV. Timothy G. McGarvey has been the Senior Pastor at the Altoona Alliance Church since 1998. He is a graduate(B.A. in Bible and Theology/Pastoral Ministries) of Toccoa Falls College, a Bible college affiliated with the C&MA. Pastor Tim grew up in Mahaffey, PA. He is married to Brenda and they have four sons, Andrew, Ryan, Branden, and Bryce. Pastor McGarvey has been serving in pastoral ministry since 1987, pastoring churches in Mill Run, PA(4 years at Critchfield C&MA) and Butler, PA(7 years at Freeport Road C&MA) before coming to Altoona.  Pastor Tim enjoys cross country skiing in winter, and riding his motorcycle in spring-fall. He likes hunting, fishing, and playing Disc Golf. His life verses are: Philippians 3:12, 14 for his personal life; and 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 for his ministry. One of his favorite songs is "Great is Thy Faithfulness." Some of Pastor Tim's favorite parts of being a pastor: Preaching from God's Word; Working with people; and Seeing people transformed by the power of God(trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, growing in Christ, and using their spiritual gifts and passions to serve the Lord!).

Office Administrator Bob Keller has been the office administrator of the Altoona Alliance Church since 1997.

Summer Ministry Intern, Mr. Adam Krug

Adam Krug, a Senior at Toccoa Falls College, is doing his Summer Internship  here at Altoona Alliance from June 6 - July 28, 2010. Adam is Biblical Studies Major at TFC. His hobbies include reading, cooking, and playing sports. Adam's life verse in the Bible is Malachi 3:6. His home is in Ocala, Florida. While serving this summer at Altoona Alliance, Adam will be involved in a wide range of ministries and activities among the children, youth, young adult(College/Career), adults, and Senior adults through preaching, teaching, visitation, meetings, and office work. Adam completed his Summer internship on July 28. Good job, Adam!
